Manchester High win fifth straight d’Cup game
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Manchester High became the third team to win their first five games in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition when they beat Belair High 4-1 in their Zone F top of the tables clash in Mandeville on Thursday.
The game continued on Thursday after it was interrupted by lightning on Wednesday and Manchester High ended Belair High’s perfect start at three games and opened up a six- point lead.
It was the first goal Manchester High were conceding this season as they took their tally of goals to 31.
May Day High failed to show up for the continuation of their game against deCarteret College who led 3-0 when their game was called on Wednesday.
Mt St Joseph Catholic won their second game of the season, beating Cross Keys High 3-0 with Jhabahry Brown, Kimaniei Johnson and Ramon McDonald getting on the score sheet.
In Zone K, Paul Bogle High beat Yallahs High School 3-0 in their Zone K return round game to move within three points of leaders Morant Bay High.
Paul Bogle had won the first game between the two schools 1-0.
