KPMG in Caricom and IBM have announced an expansion of their global alliance with a new focus on the Caricom region. The companies will work together to help private and public sector organisations accelerate their digital transformation initiatives. The collaboration, which seeks to help organisations leverage data and artificial intelligence capabilities, is designed to address modernisation and compliance considerations to help strengthen performance and competitiveness.
“We are excited to add IBM to our ecosystem which already includes ServiceNow and Microsoft,” said Raymond Campbell, head of advisory, KPMG in Caricom. “This adds to a select group of leading global technology providers that will leverage KPMG’s expertise in business transformation and IBM’s advanced technology capabilities to create innovative solutions for clients across the region.”
With digital transformation moving to the top of decision makers’ agendas across the Caribbean region, along with increased discussions and investments around digital transformation programmes, it is important for companies to leverage the right information and communication technology solutions that can maintain business continuity and help them stay connected to customers.
The two companies share a successful history of collaborating globally and expansion in Caricom will build on their past success, providing mutual clients with both IBM technology and KPMG advisory services.
“I am delighted that KPMG’s global alliance with IBM is extending to KPMG firms in the Caribbean [Caricom]. With KPMG being recently recognised as Red Hat’s 2023 Innovator of the Year with our KPMG Resource Integration Suite [KRIS] Connected Platform, I look forward to this globally successful collaboration continuing to deliver impactful outcomes for clients in the region” said Rob Sanderson, global alliance director, IBM, KPMG International.
KPMG stated that with data security sitting at the centre of digital transformation initiatives, this alliance will help clients unlock new levels of business performance safely.
“Together, we provide a powerful offering that helps companies unlock the full potential of their businesses with a focus on the safety and security of their data,” said Ravi Sankar, head of technology and cyber, KPMG in Caricom. “Access to IBM’s technology platforms provides advanced threat detection, data security, incident response, and risk management while helping to automate our clients’ customer experience and business operations,” he added.
“Organisations are using new and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage and succeed in their digital transformation journeys,” continued Campbell, “With the Caribbean region experiencing unprecedented shifts to remote work, online services and cloud computing, KPMG and IBM are committed to working together to help clients navigate these disruptions to emerge stronger and more resilient.”
