Reggae Boyz rally to earn 2-2 draw with Haiti
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz rallied for a two-goal half-time deficit to earn a point from a 2-2 draw against Haiti in their Concacaf League A Group B game played at the National Stadium in Kingston on Tuesday.
The point saw Jamaica remain as leaders in the points tables with four points after edging Honduras 1-0 in their first game last week, also in Kingston.
Haiti ended the game with 10 players after Djimy-Alexis was sent off in the 90th minute after picking up his second yellow card in the game.
Jamaica halved the deficit in the 52nd minute when a shot from Demarai Grey was deflected into his own goal by Haitian defender Ricardo Ade.
Ade was the culprit again in the 83rd minute when he handled the ball in his own area and Bobby Reid converted a well-taken penalty.
Haiti had exposed Jamaica in the first-half and 22-year-old Don Louicius shocked the hosts with two goals in a three-minute span, scoring in the 12th and 15th minutes.
