Congratulations, Inspector Brooks!
Dear Editor,
Kindly allow me space in your widely read newspaper to publicly congratulate Inspector Romaine Brooks from the Spalding Police Station in Clarendon for his promotion from the rank of sergeant to inspector.
As someone with whom I have frequently interacted and observed in my capacity as a community leader and educator, he has always distinguished himself as a model police officer and a decent human being. Inspector Brooks is hard-working, fearless, and meticulous, and his integrity is unquestionable.
The Spalding police division has benefited tremendously from the hard work and leadership of Inspector Brooks. He is one of those police officers who is passionate about serving the public and reducing crime. Every day Inspector Brooks and his team can be seen in the physical space stamping out indiscipline and lawlessness. His interactions with the public embody the highest level of professionalism. Jamaica needs more committed police officers like Brooks. The police high command should also be commended for mentoring and nurturing him. His recent promotion is not just a credit to himself but a credit to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and the law-abiding citizens of this country.
Inspector Brooks is still a young man with many years of service left in him, I would humbly suggest that the high command use him and other rank and file men and women in the force with similar passion and dedication in an ambassadorial programme in the JCF to educate and accentuate the meaning of service in the JCF. It is my humble opinion that Brooks and officers of similar orientation are the recipe towards restoring public confidence in the JCF. I am praying for his safety and daily protection on the job.
I have every confidence that Inspector Brooks will continue to grow on the job and I know that he will continue on the path of serving the public with humility, respect, passion, commitment, and dignity. Keep up the great work Inspector Brooks. Congratulations again on your well-deserve promotion to the rank of inspector. We celebrate with you and all good wishes for the times ahead.
The citizens of honesty, discipline, decency, patriotism and goodwill are rooting for you. The word is always love!
