In times of uncertainty and challenges a true leader emerges, and Prime Minister Andrew Holness has proven to be that leader for Jamaica.

His steadfast guidance during both prosperous and trying times has showcased his ability to navigate the nation through times of difficulties, helping it to emerge stronger than ever. Holness is indeed a man for all seasons, and his accomplishments speak volumes.

One of the most defining moments of his leadership has been his response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health crisis brought unprecedented challenges to Jamaica’s public health system, economy, and society as a whole. Under Holness’s leadership, the nation witnessed swift and decisive actions that helped contain the spread of the virus and mitigate its impact on the population.

Beyond the pandemic, Holness has demonstrated his ability to drive positive change on multiple fronts. In 2019, his leadership led Jamaica to achieve an impressive record-low unemployment rate of 8.4 per cent — the lowest in half a century. More recently, Holness’s leadership has taken Jamaica to an even more remarkable milestone, with the lowest unemployment levels in the country’s history of 4.5 per cent.
