Speedy resolution
Dear Claudienne,
While I was employed at the Jamaican-German Automotive School (JAGAS) from January 2022 to May 2022 on a full-time basis, I also taught evening classes on an overtime basis from January 2022 to May 2022.
When I was not paid for the overtime I made an inquiry at payroll. The person I spoke to said she would make checks and get back to me, but she did not. I then carefully checked my pay statements and realised that the TRN [tax registration number], NIS [National Insurance Scheme], and employee number on it were not mine. I communicated this to the secretary at JAGAS and she reached out to the head office on my behalf. She was told that I should forward my TRN, NIS, and employee numbers, and I did.
In July 2022 the pay statement I received dated June 29, 2022 also had TRN, NIS, and employee numbers that were not mine and I returned it to payroll.
My pay statement for August 2022 was also incorrect.
Despite the fact that my pay statements show otherwise, I received overtime pay only twice for the year 2022. The payments I received were for June, $90,440.00, and August, $ 90,440.00, a total of $180,880. To date I have made calls and e-mailed different people at HEART/NSTA Trust concerning the non-payment for my overtime work, but to date the overtime pay is still outstanding. Attached are copies of a few of the e-mails and their replies.
I am owed eight overtime payments and would appreciate your assistance in resolving the issue.
NB
