St James man charged with breaches of the Law Reform Act
ST JAMES, Jamaica – One man was arrested and charged for breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act following an operation at his home in Flamstead district, Johns Hall, St James on Thursday.
Charged with possession of an access device and possession of identity information is 21-year-old Antonio Haughton.
Reports are that members of the Lottery Scam Task Force carried out an operation which commenced at 4:00 am. Haughton’s home was searched and two cellular phones and a United States bank card were allegedly found. An onsite analysis was done on the cellular phones; several files populated with names, addresses and telephone numbers of people residing overseas were found. Several messages and dialled overseas numbers were also found.
His court date is being arranged.
