PICA: Site to submit passenger declaration form uncompromised, free
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) said the site used to facilitate passengers submitting the online declaration form to Jamaica’s Immigration and Customs officials has not been hacked nor compromised.
This advisory, PICA said, follows reports that there are several sites mirroring or offering services similar to that of the official www.enterjamaica.com platform, which was developed by the government to facilitate travellers’ entrance into the island.
PICA warned that these fake sites are also charging a fee to travellers to upload their passenger declaration form before arrival in Jamaica.
As such, the immigration agency is advising that there are no fees associated with uploading the passenger declaration form on the www.enterjamaica.com site. It also stated that passenger information is protected on the site.
“Passengers and the public are reminded that the site they are to submit their online passenger declaration form is www.enterjamaica.com. That is the official and only authorised site to be used for the submission of the declaration forms,” PICA said in a statement.
The Agency added that to date over 22,000 applications have been received and processed through the www.enterjamaica.com site.
The electronic declaration form came into effect on September 1, 2023, and replaces the paper C5 Card. The C5 Form, which is an online passenger declaration form must be completed by travellers entering Jamaica. It is aimed at facilitating the efficienct movement of passengers entering the island.
