Hard Work from Jreem
As another school year approaches, recording artiste Jreem is sending out encouragement with the track Hard Work.
It was produced by TBM Muzic.
“In everything you do, hard work pays off. Jamaica needs some more positive music. I wrote this song to show my music co-workers that’s it’s not about scamming, sexual acts and killing. I literally go the opposite way of what new artistes in Jamaica are putting out now,” the artiste told the Jamaica Observer.
Since its release, the track has been getting a great reception, with heavy rotation on Jamaican radio, as well as international appeal. The song is being recognised by bloggers and social media influencers; popular dance group Ghetto Kids posted a video dancing to the song on their TikTok page. With the growing popularity of the track, especially on the accompanying music video which has garnered over 200,000 views, it is expected to be a breakthrough hit for the artiste.
“My hope for this song is to prove good music still works, to motivate hard-working people and to show them that good music is still produced in Jamaica,” the artiste expressed.
Hailing from Linstead, St. Catherine, Jreem has been on his musical journey since he was about 11 or 12 years old. He started his professional career in 2010.
“The music I put out is easy to receive, very relatable, household friendly, and lyrical. I use melodies and relevant topics to create eye opening tracks with well put together stories,” the artiste highlighted.
With past releases including Good Again, produced by UIM, and Hurt, produced by TBM Muzic, the artiste is gearing up to stun music listeners in a positive way with new material in the pipeline.
“Right now it’s music all the way for me,” he stated.
