Chris Brown and friends more than a treat!
The supporting acts billed for the Chris Brown and Friends Under The Influence Concert at the National Stadium in Kingston on Sunday set the tone for the man of the hour.
Originally it was advertised that the other artistes on the line-up would have been Teejay, Ding Dong, Sean Kingston, Aidonia, Gramps Morgan, Popeye Caution, and Byron Messia, but there were treats and extras overflowing all evening into the night.
There were cameo appearances from D’Yani, Kemar Highcon, Najeeriii, Bayka, RajahWild, Kraff, Armanii, Safaree, and even headliner in his own right Tommy Lee Sparta.
Sean Kingston, Ding Dong, and Aidonia were supporting acts who stood out in the eyes of patrons.
Beautiful Girls, Take You There, and Me Love were among the well-known tracks delivered by Sean Kingston as he consistently affirmed with the willing audience that even though he was born in Miami, he represents Jamaica all over the world.
Ding Dong and the Ravers Clavers were straight energy from start to finish, adding a cherry on top with fireworks during the penultimate portion of the set. All clad in white, Ding Dong and his crew got the National Stadium rocking with Flairy, Gas, Stir Fry, Bounce, and more.
Dancehall artiste Aidonia created a balance between songs for women and those that appealed more to men. He made the exciting announcement that he and his wife, Kimberly, were expecting another baby following the tragic loss of their nine-year-old son Khalif last December.
“Big up yuhself, enuh! Yuh know? Because yuh hol’ it dung inna real life. Yuh hol’ it dung inna real life. From 2019 when mi cyaan even deh deh, yuh hol’ it dung inna real life. Suh mi haffi always show mi love an’ appreciation an’ mek di world know seh baby deh pon di way,” Aidonia announced to cheering fans.
The live performances started at approximately 8:30 pm and ran until after 2:00 am the next morning.
