#WorldChamps2023: Jamaica lands silver in women’s 4x400m
Jamaica’s women’s 4x400m relay team claimed silver, the nation’s only medal on the ninth and final day of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Sunday.
The quartet of Candice McLeod, Janieve Russell, Nikisha Pryce and Stacey-Ann Williams clocked a season’s best time 3:20.88 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands, courtesy of world 400m hurdles champion, Femke Bol snatched the gold away from the Jamaicans at the line to register a world-leading time of 3:20.72 seconds.
Great Britain and Northern Ireland claimed the bronze medal in a SB time of 3:21.04.
