#WorldChamps2023: Jamaica expected to make two changes to both 4x400m teams
BUDAPEST, Hungary – Jamaica is expected to make two changes each to the men’s and women’s 4x400m teams for Sunday’s finals at the World Athletics Championships at the National Athletics Center in Budapest, Hungary, the OBSERVER ONLINE has learnt.
World 400m champion Antonio Watson and 400m hurdles finalist Roshawn Clarke are expected to join Zandrion Barnes and Rusheen McDonald from the team that ran 2:59:82 in the semi-finals on Saturday, replacing Jevaughn Powell and De’Andre Anderson.
Meanwhile, 400m finalist Candice McLeod and 400m hurdles finalist Janieve Russell, who was second in the 400m at the national trials, will replace Charokee Young and Shian Salmon. They will join national champion Nickisha Pryce and Stacey-Ann Williams, the two holdovers from the team that ran a world-leading 3:22.74 in the semis.
