World Champs 2023: Jamaica finishes 4th on World Championships medal table
Jamaica’s athletes continue to punch above their weight, ensuring that the country finished fourth overall on the medals table at the just concluded 19th edition of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Only the United States of America with 29 medals finished with more medals than Jamaica’s 12.
In the end the USA topped the table with 12 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals. Canada finished second with 4 gold medals and two silver while Spain finished third with 4 gold and one silver medals. Both Canada and Spain won one more gold medal than Jamaica which finished with 3 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals at the championships.
