Jamaica’s Danniel Thomas-Dodd has secured her place in Saturday’s final of the women’s shot put at the Budapest World Athletics Championships.
Thomas-Dodd, who won silver at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar, produced a third round throw of 19.36m, easing over the qualifying standard of 19.10m.
She finished fourth in Group B qualifications, advancing with the sixth furthest throw of the 12 finalists.
The final of the women’s shot put is scheduled for 1:15 pm Jamaica time.
