#WorldChamps2023: Fifth for Thomas-Dodd in shot put
Jamaica’s Danniel Thomas-Dodd had to settle for a fifth-place finish in the final of the women’s shot put at the National Athletics Centre at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Thomas-Dodd, who won silver at the Doha World Athletics Championships in 2019, registered a third-round mark of 19.59m for fifth.
America’s Chase Ealy won her second title with a season’s best (SB) throw of 20.43m. Canada’s Sarah Mitton copped silver with a mark of 20.08m/SB while bronze went to China’s Lijiao Gong (19.69)
