#WorldChamps2023: Jamaica name 4×100 relay teams
Jamaica on Friday named its 4×100 relay teams for the ongoing World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Technical Director Maurice Wilson made the announcement during the Jamaica Team Press Conference at Ibis Castle Hill Hotel.
After narrowly missing out on a podium finish in the 100 metre finals earlier this week, Oblique Seville headlines the men’s team which also includes Akeem Blake, Raheem Forde, Rohan Watson, Kadrian Goldson and Michael Campbell.
Individual 100m silver and bronze medal winners, Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce headline the female team which also includes Brianna Williams, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Sashalee Forbes and Natasha Morrison.
Dennis Gordon, the team’s media liaison officer, says the relay pool for the 4x400m team is being delayed to keep their strategy hidden from other teams.
