Security team attacked at Scotiabank in Mandeville unharmed says Beryllium
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Beryllium Limited confirmed that a crew from the courier company was attacked in the vicinity of the Scotiabank on Ward Avenue in Mandeville, Manchester Friday afternoon.
The company said in a statement that there were no injuries to the members of the security team during the shootout that ensued between gunmen armed with high powered weapons and the security officers.
Beryllium is asking anyone with information to come forward.
“We implore members of the public who may have information about this heinous act to immediately contact the Jamaica Constabulary Force. We continue to work closely with the police as they investigate this criminal act,” the security company said.
Preliminary reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE are that sometime after 5:00 pm gunmen attacked a security team at the Scotia Bank.

Footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows two men armed with high powered weapons making their escape with a bag presumably containing cash.
It is not yet known the amount of money the gunmen made away with.
