#WorldChamps2023: Hudson, Dwyer out of 200m final
Jamaica’s Andrew Hudson and Rasheed Dwyer will not advance to Friday’s final of the men’s 200m at the 2023 Budapest World Athletics Championships.
Two-time national champion Hudson clocked 20.38 seconds for fifth in the semi-final one. America’s Noah Lyles is chasing the sprint double after blazing to a time of 19.76 seconds to win. Dominican Republic’s Alexander Ogando claimed the runner-up spot in 20.02.
Rasheed Dwyer had to settle for sixth, recording a time of 20.49. America’s Erriyon Knighton won in 19.98 while Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes finished second in 20.02.
The final of the men’s 200m will take place at 2:50 pm Jamaica time.
