#WorldChamps2023: McLeod finishes seventh in 400m final
In her third successive global 400m final, Jamaica’s Candice McLeod finished seventh at the 19th staging of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
McLeod clocked a time of 51.08 seconds.
Marileidy Paulino of the Domincan Republic set a national record and lifetime best of 48.77 to win gold while Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek (49.57) won silver.
Sada Williams of Barbados copped the bronze with a time of 49.60.
