#WorldChamps2023: Rajindra Campbell fouls out of shot put final
National record holder Rajindra Campbell fouled out of the final of the men’s shot put at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Saturday.
Campbell, who threw a national record 22.22m at a meet in Madrid, Spain last month, also had foul troubles in the qualification stage, having fouled in the second round before leaving it late to qualify with 20.83m.
The event was won by world record holder and reigning Olympic champion Ryan Crouser, who set a championship record of 23.51m.
Italy’s Leonardo Fabbri went over 22m for the first time to claim the silver medal in 22.34m while five-time world champion Joe Kovacs, also of America, finished third with 22.12m.
