Dream WKND gets ‘Wet N Wild’
NEGRIL, Westmoreland — Thousand of partygoers gathered at Kool Runnings Water Park for the highly anticipated Wet N Wild on Sunday.
The premier water party for Dream WKND saw the largest turnout of Dreamers since the start of this year’s staging.
The event was a star-studded affair, featuring surprise guest artiste Topmann, who performed his hit song Gyal Code.
Veteran dancehall act Tony Matterhorn and Laa Lee made cameos on stage to the utter enjoyment of the crowd.
Drift creator Gabbidon was called on stage to show off his dance moves and was joined by patrons who engaged in various dance routines.
With water guns in hand and phones in protective cases, revellers ensured that everyone got their fair share of the wet, adding to the level of excitement that permeated the atmosphere.
Promoter of Wet N Wild Kamal Bankay was visibly elated at the event’s execution.
“The expectations among patrons for Wet N Wild is always high, and we have to meet those and exceed it each year. Dream WKND has developed a reputation for consistency in patron experience and this is one of the more immersive event experiences. The water activations, foam pit, and the energy from the DJs brought the party to a high” expressed Bankay.
Shortly after the party’s start, the rain made its entrance, drenching the already soaking patrons.
“This is my first Wet N Wild and it’s amazing. The vibe was just right, the music was on point and I absolutely enjoyed the foam pit,” expressed Nicole Addams.
