ONEGROUP celebrates anniversary with commitment to educating, empowering future marketing and PR professionals
IN honour of its milestone fifth anniversary, One Integrated Group Limited (ONEGROUP) is committing to empower future generations of industry professionals with the launch of its ONE in FIVE Forward Communicators scholarship award programme.
The ONE in FIVE scholarship offers an opportunity for passionate and motivated individuals to pursue careers in media, marketing, public relations (PR), communications, video production or graphics/animation. Eligible candidates should have attained a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have completed a minimum of 45 credits by the end of their first year of study.
The recipient must also demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and involvement in the university community, as well as a need for financial assistance, the company said. Beneficiaries will receive a total of $300,000 towards tuition fees, textbooks, and other educational expenses. In addition, they will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through internships and mentorship programmes with the ONEGROUP team of experienced professionals.
ONEGROUP says it has quickly established itself as a provider of innovative marketing and PR solutions, top-notch event executions and master communication and crisis strategies. Over the past five years, the company has worked with a diverse range of clients, from individuals to corporations locally and internationally, to create unforgettable experiences that exceed expectations.
“Considering that businesses typically fail within the first three years, arriving at this entrepreneurial milestone was no easy feat,” the company said. “Leading up to its five-year anniversary, ONEGROUP has earned its reputation as one of the leading marketing and public relations agencies in the Caribbean with a bevy of local, regional, and international clients. With this success, the company is ready to empower the next generation of industry professionals.”
CEO & founder Keneshia Nooks-Blake said she had a passion for marketing, PR, communications and media and particularly its importance in reaching various audiences through targeted messages.
“I remember when I was pursuing my degrees and how difficult it was to find funding. I remember being de-registered several times because my fees were not paid. This was painful. My motivation for the scholarship is to support at least one student per year and giving them a shot at achieving their dreams,” she said.
The deadline to apply is August 10, and successful candidates will be notified by August 31.
Undergraduate and graduate students who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply for the ONE in FIVE programme for a chance to become a part of One Integrated Group’s legacy of excellence and innovation in the industry. For more information, visit onegroupja.com.
