Same Flame blazes in Mandeville
The usually sleepy town of Mandeville was transformed into a musical furnace last Saturday night with the staging of Same Flame on Knox Road.
Patrons partied until the police came and pulled the plug on the proceedings at around 2:30 AM Sunday morning.
Promoter of Same Flame, popular central Jamaica disc jock and selector DJ Brain used the event to commemorate his birthday.
“This is our second staging of Same Flame and, compared to last year in June, when we had the first one, we are seeing a bigger turnout of patrons. I really expected the support because we were promoting this event for a while,” DJ Brain told the Jamaica Observer.
Top Class Sound, Fresh Fire Entertainment, TORCHA Team, and DJ Sherlock dug deep into their musical arsenal as they whipped up current and past hit songs to keep patrons on a musical high.
At several intervals throughout the proceedings, patrons lit the venue with torches, showing their approval for their favourite songs.
Asked what his formula was for having back-to-back successful events, DJ Brain said, “The difference I put into my party is that I try my very best to think out of the box and give my patrons the best experience with each staging. I ensure that there are surprise giveaways, a great DJ line-up, the torch effect and party horns.”
Same Flame was first held at the Mike Town Community Centre in Manchester in June 2022.
“To be honest, the event has grown significantly, and I have seen new faces at this event. It feels good to know that I left my community of Mike Town and took the party into the town of Mandeville and the event has turned out to be massive,” said DJ Brain.
