Scottish-Jamaican menswear designer Nicholas Daley’s new collection pulsates to the beat of reggae!
Daley, a highly regarded designer from the UK, consistently presents his work, drawing inspiration from personal influences, notably music. He has previously showcased collections that celebrate musical excellence, whether it involves supporting emerging artistes through charitable efforts or collaborating with renowned labels such as Fender.
Continuing his passion for the art form, Daley now unveils his latest collection for Spring/Summer 2024, dubbed Reggae Klub — a continuation to his previous Fall/Winter 2023 collection. The new drop focuses on illuminating the rich and culturally significant heritage of the black music scene in the Midlands during the 1970s and 1980s. This period marked the prominence of Birmingham’s reggae roots, with the legendary band Steel Pulse leading the way in musical popularity.
The collection welcomes the revival of timeless silhouettes alongside innovative designs. The colour palettes incorporate vibrant prints and subtle combinations, featuring earthy tones like mustard, beige, and sienna, combined with tartan and animal prints.
