Swirl, Sip and Taste was the assignment Thursday last, as wine and chocolate enthusiasts shared space at Locale for Vine and Bean. The event hosted by lifestyle curator Cecile Levee and chocolatier Nadine Burie, in association with Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited (CPJ), showcased an exquisite selection of complementary chocolate and wines. The evening commenced with a Pinot Noir paired with hazelnut pearls coated with 55 per cent dark milk chocolate; followed by the Murphy Goode Merlot and toffee brittle covered with dark chocolate and sesame seeds; Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon and chocolate bonbons dusted with mixed spices; and Three Finger Jack Old Vine Zinfandel with Scotch bonnet pepper chocolate. Finally, to add a touch of sparkle to the experience, the Antinori Franciacorta Blanc De Blanc with a chocolate mousse made from white chocolate, mango and passion fruit.
