Chilando to release sophomore album
Montego Bay-based dancehall artiste Chilando is gearing up to release his sophomore album Need Healing. Although no release date has been confirmed, the singjay is dropping singles leading up to the release of the project.
Two of the tracks are Hurt and Push It. Both songs have been gaining momentum with Push It racking up views and interest on social media platform TikTok.
“Hurt was inspired by many betrayals that I have faced over the years. I have learnt to forgive and give people a second chance, but the hurt is still there,” said Chilando.
Hurt was produced by Show Di Vybz Records, Anglin Global Music and Drivv Music. A video for the song was directed by Justin Blake of Cos Media. It was released on June 20.
Push It was produced by Show Di Vybz Records.
As it relates to the album, Chilando said the project will feature collaborations including Nuh Count Favours featuring Chronic Law, Nuh Regular with Squash and Fi Wi Time with Silk Boss.
Need Healing is the follow-up to Chilando’s debut album Sweetest Gift, which was released five years ago.
