Great presentation, Senator Fitz-Henley!
Dear Editor,
I wish to commend Senator Abka Fitz-Henley on a most thoughtful and hard-hitting presentation at the opening of the State of the Nation Debate in the Senate.
Senator Fitz-Henley was courageous in outlining tangible actions taken in the interest of the advancement of the Jamaican people and called out the former People’s National Party (PNP) Administration for missteps which have set Jamaica back badly.
It’s clear this young man is aware of his political history and the actions required to move Jamaica forward.
Senator Fitz-Henley was right when he said never again should Jamaica pursue policies similar to those which occurred under the former PNP Administration that caused a raft of businesses to collapse and thousands of people to lose their savings.
I do not expect everybody to be happy with Senator Fitz-Henley’s presentation, but that’s because, as he rightfully quipped in the Senate, the truth hurts.
Senator Fitz-Henley’s maiden presentation was a great one which offered much food for thought.
