Arnett edge Harbour View for third place in JPL
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Arnett Gardens won Sunday’s Jamaica Premier League third place play-off game after beating Harbour View 1-0 in extra time at Sabina Park in Kingston.
An own goal in the first period of extra time was the only goal in the game as the two beaten semi-finalists went through their paces without much enthusiasm.
They had played out a 0-0 draw after regulation time before Odorland Harding headed a cross past his own goalkeeper six minutes into the first period of extra time.
The win also maintained Arnett Gardens’ dominance over Harbour View this season, beating them 2-0 and 3-0 in the regular season.
Arnett Gardens had finished number one in the regular season and Harbour View fourth before they were beaten in the semi-finals by Mt Pleasant and Cavalier respectively.
