Pepsi Food Truck Pop-Up’s Flavoursome Finale: Water Square, Falmouth
The Pepsi Food Truck Pop-Up wrapped its culinary road tour at Water Square, Falmouth, Trelawny, on Wednesday, May 31. The event drew eager food enthusiasts and loyal Pepsi customers alike, ready to savour a delightful fusion of flavours crafted by Chef André Sewell, widely known as ‘André Cooks.’
The menu featured an array of dishes artfully infused with a splash of Pepsi magic: The Oakwood-Smoked Pepsi BBQ Pork Belly, paired harmoniously with a delectable Roasted Garlic Potato Salad, delivered a tantalising blend of smoky sweetness and savoury satisfaction; the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Plantain Butter, so expertly complemented by French Onion Buttermilk Coleslaw, created a symphony of flavours on the palate.
For dessert, patrons were treated to Pepsi Chocolate Pots de Creme, garnished with Coffee Granola and topped with a dollop of vanilla whipped cream.
Despite a brief downpour, the event was a resounding success, with patrons enjoying the innovative flavours and engaging in lively interactions with content creator Chad Luchey and MC Teddy from IRIE FM.
Yanique Dawkins, brand coordinator for Pepsi-Cola Jamaica, expressed gratitude to loyal consumers for their unwavering support. “It was heartwarming to witness the positive reception from the public. We extend our deepest appreciation to the people of Jamaica for embracing this initiative and making it a remarkable journey,” she said. “The Pepsi Food Truck Pop-Up initiative showcased the deep connection between Pepsi and Jamaican culture, particularly in the realm of food. Throughout the journey across the four locations, Pepsi not only provided a unique culinary experience but also celebrated the vibrant flavours that make Jamaican cuisine so beloved.”
The other Pepsi Food Truck Pop-Ups were at New Kingston for Carnival Road March; Main Street, Ocho Rios; and Mall Plaza, Half-Way-Tree.
As the final pop-up event came to a close, it marked the end of an unforgettable culinary journey, leaving a lasting impression on the local food scene and in the hearts of those who experienced it
