Why, Kay?
Dear Editor,
I recently saw in the media a photograph of former Television Jamaica General Manager Kay Osbourne lying down on a pedestrian crossing near Heroes’ Circle in Central Kingston, ostensibly protesting salary increases to politicians.
So many things have happened in Jamaica, including the brutal murder of women and children. None, as I can recall, prompted Osbourne to lay in the streets.
Osbourne has sought to resort to this drastic action to protest salary increases to political representatives, when, in truth, many across the public sector, including judges, principals, police, doctors, and nurses, got major increases, percentage-wise.
I wish to ask Osbourne: Why are you so agitated about this matter while ignoring the others? Guide us concerning your moral barometer. Enquiring minds wish to know.
