Sips Bites with a Side of Fun: Pepsi Food Truck Pop-Up Takes Half-Way-Tree
The usual buzz of excitement associated with Fridays on Constant Spring Road was further amplified Friday, May 12, when the Pepsi Food Truck popped up at the Mall Plaza complete with music from Irie FM led by MC Lady Timry and DJ Lollipop.
Patrons wasted little time in joining the line to sample Chef Haleem Card’s Escoveitch Snapper Tacos with Tostones (fried breadfruit) and Pepsi-braised Chicken Sub Sandwich with Roasted Sweet Corn. Each offering was delivered with a smile and a complimentary 20 oz Pepsi.
“Not much can compare to the perfect simplicity that is pan chicken, bright red ketchup and a piece of hardo bread,” Chef Card expressed.
“With that being said, I believe my take on street food is something relatable, with a little flair and technique, that leaves you satisfied and secretly craving more,” he added.
Pepsi-Cola Jamaica Brand Coordinator Yanique Dawkins added that the Pepsi Food Truck Pop-Up is a fantastic way to bring people together to enjoy delicious food and a refreshing Pepsi in a fun and exciting setting.
The truck’s final stop is Montego Bay on May 28.
Thursday Food will be first in line.
