Herbert Morrison target leadership of U-14 basketball tourney
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Herbert Morrison Technical will hope to retain sole leadership of the ISSA Western Confederation Boys’ Under-14 basketball competition on Wednesday when they host Holland High in Montego Bay.
Herbert Morrison, who had been awarded points from their first game against Holland High, will hope to rebound from a loss to Cornwall College with whom they share the lead.
Three teams are contesting the competition and will face each other three times before the top two face each other in the final.
Cornwall College scored back-to-back wins on Monday when they beat Holland High 48-7 in Trelawny, with double-digit scoring coming from Nathan Hinds and Conway Campbell.
Hinds led all scorers with 17 points while Campbell scored 12, with Andrew Reid and Carlyle Tinglin each scoring six points.
Jonathan Williams scored three points for Holland High and Daniel Cole scored two.
