British woman arrested in $28 million drug bust at St James airport
ST JAMES, Jamaica – A British woman was arrested on Friday, May 12 following a seizure of over five kilograms of cocaine at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James.
Reports are that about 3:00 pm, the woman was about to board a flight to London when her luggage was searched.
During the search, five packages of cocaine, which attracts a street value of over $28 million, were found concealed in her luggage. She was subsequently arrested.
Her identity is being withheld as investigators continue their probe.
This comes on the heels of two British nationals being held with cocaine in two separate incidents at the Sangster International Airport on Saturday, May 6.
