A suspected lottery scammer was arrested and charged following a joint operation by the Lotto Scam Task Force and the Area 1 Special Operations in Barrett Town, St James on Thursday morning.

Suspected lottery scammer charged after police operation in St James

ST JAMES, Jamaica – A suspected lottery scammer was arrested and charged following a joint operation by the Lotto Scam Task Force and the Area 1 Special Operations in Barrett Town, St James on Thursday morning.

Charged is Randy Spence, 37, otherwise called ‘Brownman’, a mechanic of the community.

Reports are that between the hours of 5 am and 8 am, the teams went in search of persons suspected to be involved in lottery scamming.

In the process, two motor vehicles, a BMW and a Toyota Noah, were seized during the operation.

It is believed that the motor vehicles were purchased with proceeds of illegal means.
