Travel enthusiasts are always seeking the next breathtaking place to explore: Curaçao is one such emerging destination. As part of the 2023 Travel Expo, the Curaçao Tourist Board recently hosted an intimate cocktail evening, Thursday last, at the Jamaica Pegasus’s Rio Bueno Suite, to discuss its goal of becoming one of the Caribbean’s top travel destinations.
The event attracted key industry players and content creators eager to learn more about what Curaçao has to offer, and Elaine Hart Francisca, regional manager for the Caribbean at the Curaçao Tourist Board, presented an array of options for accommodation, from luxurious resorts to cosy bed and breakfasts.
But that was not all. Corendon Hotels & Resorts, the most prominent all-inclusive luxury hotel that opened in Curaçao in 2020, was on-site to present its amenities, with Jetair Caribbean, a private commercial airline based in Curaçao, also making an appearance, promising direct flights from Kingston to Curaçao twice a week.
No visit to Curaçao would be complete without indulging in its most famous drink, the Blue Curaçao, and popular Curaçaoan mixologist Brenton Balentien jetted to The Rock especially to demonstrate how to make the appetising crafted cocktail.
The affair wrapped with the highly anticipated raffle — a chance to win a trip for two to Curaçao. The lucky winner was attorney-at-law Sean Williams, who couldn’t contain his excitement at the prospect of experiencing all the island has to offer.
