After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Saint International Fashion Show returned in fine style on Sunday, April 23. Held inside the Rock Steady Ballroom of the AC Hotel Kingston, the evening showcased the ‘All Black’ collection — in which models took to the runway in designs conceptualised by them — competing for the title of Male and Female Fashion Face of the Caribbean.
For the prestigious title of the 2023 Jamaica Avant Garde Designer of the Year designers were asked to use Jamaica 60 as the theme, design a captivating piece that would wow as well as tell the story of Jamaica’s rich culture and innovative and resilient people, influenced by the motto: Out of many, one people.
Finally, a style file tribute from designers Kadian Nicely, Pebbles King, and Simone Gordon of TNT Fashion who rose to the challenge of defining the trends of tomorrow while remaining true to the DNA of their brands. A turn on the runway by Saint stars Kai Newman and Tami Williams closed the affair in fitting style.
