Golda gives thanks
Gospel recording artiste Golda McFarlane has been reaping the intended success of the track What A God since its release on June 16, 2022.
“This song is simply talking about how great our God is and also reminds us of what Jesus did on the cross for us,” the artiste told the Jamaica Observer.
It was produced by by Fitzroy Dave Green.
With the positive reception across the Caribbean, the artiste has high expectations for its continued success.
“My hope for this song is that it will be heard all over the world and serve as a reminder of what Jesus did for us on the cross. His love for us is far greater than our minds can fathom,” she said.
In the music business for the past six years, Golda was baptised at the age of 13 after hearing the word of God being preached and deciding to give her life to Him. This journey has been a heavy influence on her sound.
“I typically create music that will cause you to stop and reflect on Christ’s love, and the desire to get closer to Him through the lyrics being sung,” she said.
Building a steady flow of releases, her previous tracks include Overflow, Wonderful Name, Daddy You with her 11-track album Destiny having been released in 2018.
With the promising performance of What A God so far, the artiste is currently working on new music, with a brand-new album and a world tour in the pipeline.
“I want to say thanks to everyone who has supported my music. Thank you to the people who have helped me with my music over the years and a big thank you to my husband, Clayton McFarlane, who hasn’t left my side, always on the road with me supporting me,” the singer added.
