Bunny Shaw helps Man City to 4-1 win over Reading
Manchester City’s Jamaican striker Khadijah ‘Bunny’ Shaw helped her team to a convincing 4-1 victory over Reading in their Women’s Super League (WSL) encounter at the Academy Stadium in Manchester, United Kingdom on Sunday.
Shaw broke the deadlock in the 25th minute to hand City a 2-1 lead as the hosts were forced to come from behind after Sanne Troelsgaard fired Reading into a shock lead within two minutes into the match. The Reggae Girl also assisted in another goal in the second half as second-placed City cruised to a win that sees them close the gap on WSL leader Manchester United who are three points ahead on the table.
The win also gives City a four-point cushion between themselves and third placed Chelsea.
The top three sides in the WSL qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
