Tru-Juice face off against Browns Town in Tier II football
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Tru-Juice FC and Browns Town FC, winners in last weekend’s opening round of the Jamaica Football Federation Tier II competition, will meet at the Tru-Juice Complex in Saturday’s second round, set to start at 3:30pm.
Five teams scored wins last weekend, including Meadforest FC, Treasure Beach and Lime Hall Academy, and will hope to extend their good start on Saturday. Racing United and Downs YC look to kick-off their season after their game was not played last week.
Tru-Juice hammered hapless Wadada United 5-0 in Montego Bay while Brown’s Town got by Baptist Alliance and they will hope to earn another three points today.
Colieke Richards scored two for Tru Juice last week and will lead their attack against Browns Town who qualified for the competition through the play-offs earlier this year.
Meadforest, who are second in the competition, on goal-difference, will host Wadada United and will be expected to get another win against the St James club which suffered a lopsided loss last week.
Treasure Beach, semi-finalists last season, will play away to Downs FC while Lime Hall Academy will host Racing United at Drax Hall.
Falmouth United, another semi-finalists last season, should get the better of Hopewell United at Elleston Wakeland Complex while Portlanders and Albion Mountain are both hoping they get their first win when they meet at Lynch Park.
