AIA seek back-to-back wins in Sandals under-15 football
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Athletes In Action (AIA) will be aiming for back-to-back wins on Thursday when they take on St James High in their St James Football Association Sandals Resorts International Under-15 game at the UDC field.
The game is set to get underway at 4 pm.
AIA are coming off a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Our Kids Academy at the same venue on Tuesday and another win would take them level with leaders Cornwall AIA on nine points. Three points could also secure a semi-final spot for AIA while St James High are still seeking their first win.
On Tuesday, Our Kids Academy, who have lost two games and drawn the other two, took the lead in the 28th minute when Crandanhi Messado scored. Marc Gibbs equalised for AIA in the 38 th minute before Javelle Gayle scored the winner in the 68th minute, his second goal of the competition.
Green Pond and St James High were also due to play on Tuesday but that game was rescheduled. Two more games will be played on Friday, Green Pond against Montego Bay Boys Club at Green Pond and Cornwall AIA against Our Kids Academy at the UDC Field.
