Advocate warns against ad ‘pushing LGBT agenda’ in HWT
Advocates of the Love March Movement, a youth Christian non-governmental organisation for sexual purity and the family, are warning the public about what they deem as covert-style attacks using outdoor advertising to indoctrinate the youth in alternative lifestyle promoted by the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender-diverse (LGBT) agenda.
“Our recent effort to expose the subliminal work of the Jamaica Forum for Lesbians All-Sexuals and Gays is one in advocacy for sexual purity and the protection of our children and the future of the Jamaican family,” a representative of the Love March Movement told OBSERVER ONLINE.
An advocate for the Love March Movement recently posted a video to Instagram and Twitter that “exposed” an ad that he believes appears to promote a fluid concept of “gender identity”.
“I want to show you one particular ad aimed at the minds of our young people, check out this ad right there, wah gwaan de so? Wah gwaan de so? You can’t tell if the person is a male or female, this is the promotion of the LGBT agenda in Half-Way Tree,” a spokesperson for the Love March Movement said in a two-and-a-half-minute video which showed the video ad in the background.
“It is happening right here in Half-Way Tree and Sam Sharpe Square, promoting these ideas that you can switch from male to female at the drop of the hat. You can decide what pronouns you want, what gender you want. This is the agenda that is being pushed in Jamaica right now. I want to challenge the people of Jamaica to stand up against this evil agenda, this confusion, this is right in the middle of Half-Way Tree where we have all the students,” he continued in the video.
He urged the media not to capitulate to the evil LGBT agenda and to “stand for righteousness”.
“This is targeting a particular audience and they are trying to get in an insidious type of way…I want to challenge the media houses and who control the outdoor advertising not to capitulate to these people’s money…this is an evil agenda…the nastiness and confusion of our people. It is distracting to our families and it is destructive to our people and it is important that we remain cultural guardians and protect our people,” he said in the video.
The Love March Movement claims that it has a Christian mandate.
“We exist to speak & act boldly, creatively & prayerfully, in love, to protect & restore sexual purity, marriage & family within the borders of our nation. We seek to accomplish this through ministry and advocacy,” the spokesperson said.
