Gill appointed acting president of WICB
ST GEORGE’S, Grenada (CMC) — Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) President Dwain Gill has been appointed the acting president of the Windward Islands Cricket Board (WICB).
He takes over from Kishore Shallow, who has stepped down from the position following his election to the post of president of Cricket West Indies at their recent annual general meeting on March 25.
Gill will act in the role until the WICB annual general meeting in May.
He has been a director of the WICB since 2014 when he became the president of GCA, and he is also a CWI director.
Gill is a former Barbados Under-15 captain, having spent his formative years in the island, where his family was living at the time, and was the manager of the successful West Indies Under-19 team that won the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2016.
His academic training is in business administration and he holds a bachelor of science and a master’s degree.
