#Champs2023: KC, Edwin Allen lead going into final day
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Defending champions Kingston College and Edwin Allen High are the leaders going into the final day of the 2023 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
After 21 finals, Kingston College are on 160 points, 30 points clear of Jamaica College’s 160. Calabar High (95), St Elizabeth Technical (54) and St Jago High (37) round out the top five in the boys’ section. Edwin Allen High and Excelsior High are tied on 34 points, followed by Maggotty High, 26; Wolmer’s Boys’ School, 21; and Cornwall College, 20.
In the girls’ section, just 7.5 points separates leaders Edwin Allen, 147 points, from Hydel High,139.5 points. Holmwood Technical, 99 points, are in third place, while St Jago High on 89 and Immaculate Conception on 48 points round out the top five. St Catherine High are sixth on 47 points, followed by Excelsior High, 36.6; Wolmer’s Girls’ School, 36; STETHS, 25.5; and Alphansus Davis, 22.
