Trailblazing Jamaican-American attorney makes successful visit to explore business opportunities
HOT on the heels of snatching the National Diversity Council (NDC) 2023 Woman of the Year award in Florida, Jamaican-American trailblazing attorney Alison Smith chose Jamaica as the first place to make an exploratory three-day business trip last week.
Smith, who is currently serving out her historic term as the first black president of the almost century-old Broward County Bar Association (BCBA), was accompanied by Jamaican-American attorney Marlon Hill, a partner in the law firm Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, at which she works.
