2. Jaiden Reid – Class 1 100mJaiden Reid will lead a strong Jamaica College team in the Class 1 sprint events. Second best in the 100 metres with a time of 10.26 seconds, Reid will be hoping to spring a big surprise on odds-on favourite Bouwahjgie Nkrumie of Kingston College.
3. Euan Young – Class 2 Long Jump and Triple JumpYoung will battle teammate Michael Edwards in both jumping events and, having achieved a mark of 14.81m in the triple jump, should go all the way to claim top honours in this event.
4. Michael Edwards – Class 2 Long Jump and Triple JumpHis rivalry with teammate Euan Young will ensure quality points for Jamaica College in the Class 2 horizontal jumps, and with a season best of 6.84m in the long jump look for Edwards to turn the tables on his teammate here to win the gold in this event.
5. Jaidi James – Class 2 High JumpThe Old Hope Road team is extremely strong in field events in Class Two — especially in the jumps — and James will add crucial points as a cinch for the high jump gold medal, with his season’s best of 2.00m placing him at the top of the class.
