WATCH: Church-goers ‘plead the blood of Jesus’ against crime in Maxfield Avenue
Members of the Maxfield Avenue Church of God of Prophecy took to the streets on Wednesday morning to plead the blood of Jesus against crime, violence and other forms of wickedness taking place in communities in and around Maxfield Avenue in Kingston.
On Tuesday, gunmen fired close to 20 shots at a man as he stood at the corner of Maxfield and Whitfield Avenue waiting on a taxi to go to work.

He was shot, but managed to escape and is in hospital receiving treatment.
The incident occurred in the midst of operations being carried out by police and military personnel close by in sections of Maxfield Avenue, including Rousseau Road and Sunlight Street.
One man told the Jamaica Observer that he was picking ackees from a tree when the shots rang out, prompting him to jump from a branch to the ground.
