Judge satisfied with evidence establishing Bryan as Klansman gang leader
Chief Justice Bryan Sykes in his lead up to delivering verdicts in the long running Klansman gang trial, in pointing to parallels in the testimonies of the two main Crown witnesses, has said he is satisfied that those accounts have so far established membership in the gang of several of the accused and leadership of Andre Bryan.
According to the trial judge, he is satisfied that the testimony of witness number two in relation to a shooting incident at fisheries in Spanish Town had established the membership of the accused Jahzeel Blake, Ted Prince and Bryan. He said while the incident had not been on the indictment, he found the narrative of the witness credible. He said Bryan in respect of that incident was “the guiding light “.
The trial judge made the indication while assessing count one and two of the indictment brought by the Crown which addresses leadership and membership of the organisation respectively.
The trial judge also said he found that Stephanie Cole Christie, otherwise called “Mumma”, is a member of the gang.
