Three dead, two injured in St Mary crash
ST MARY, Jamaica – A crash on the Stewart Town main road in St Mary has left three friends dead and two other individuals nursing serious injuries at the St Ann’s Bay hospital.
Police sources told OBSERVER ONLINE that 29-year-old Sydney Condoppa, a taxi operator of Coffee Piece, Highgate in St Mary, and two male friends were travelling in his Toyota Probox coming from Ocho Rios. The men were reportedly coming from a party and were heading to another in St Mary in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Condoppa is said to have overtaken a line of traffic when he collided with a Toyota Hiace bus which was coming from Port Maria. He died on the spot. His friends died while receiving treatment at the St Ann’s Bay Hospital.
They have not yet been officially identified
but OBSERVER ONLINE sources say one is from Highgate and the other is from Port Maria.
The two individuals injured in the crash have not yet been identified.
The Oracabessa police are investigating.
