Bumble Beauty — think: honey and you’d be right on the ‘cone’ — is a local honey-based skincare brand that promises, by dint of the use of natural quality ingredients, to increase skin’s visible glow and hydration. Bumble Beauty founder Geena Munroe, whose father Peter is the principal of honey-producing company, Ma’Honey Jamaica Ltd, told TSD that she spent hours each day perfecting a natural remedy for her eczema with natural ingredients until she tried honey. “I would make batches and give them to a few close friends to try, just to see how I could improve [the product]. Everyone was, and still is, hooked, and so Bumble Beauty was created,” she told TSD.
Today, the carousel of products offered by the honey-based product line includes body butters, body scrubs and lip balms. Accompanying honey as the base ingredient, some other natural elements used are beeswax, coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, mango butter, and vitamin E oil.
Ever mindful of reducing carbon footprints Munroe encourages the reuse of her brand’s sustainable glass jars, each of which is inspected for quality and heavily sanitised before use.
Bumble Beauty products can be obtained from the online shopping destination Caribshopper or the brand’s website.
