Holy Trinity High has platinum celebrations
The bells of the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity may well peal in recognition of the platinum anniversary of Holy Trinity High School for its years at the current site with its motto being Est Satis Nisi Optimun (Only the best is good enough)!
Students, faculty, members of the board of management, and the community paused in celebration of 70 years of sterling work of that institution in that locale on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Under the theme ‘Honouring the past, celebrating the present, envisioning the future’, the whole community, led by chief celebrant Rev Fr Collin Henriques and homilist Rev Fr Kingsley Asphall, converged at the cathedral to recognise the Father’s hand on the school. Chairman of the board of management Rose Phillips and Principal Rev Fr Carl F Clarke welcomed all in attendance and encourage them to journey with the school through a year of celebration and fund-raising towards the benefit and improvement of the resources available to the present and future cohorts of the school.
Other highlights of the year’s celebration are:
February 21, 2023: 70th Anniversary Prize-Giving and Long Service Award Ceremony
March 20 – 24, 2023: Expo 2023 (Open Week)
June 4, 2023: Book Launch on the History of the Holy Trinity High School
June 5-9, 2023: Holy Trinity Week
November 24, 2023: Home-coming street parade
November 25, 2023: Past Students’ Gala
During this anniversary year the school wishes to raise $70 million, primarily through corporate sponsorship and fund-raisers. It is hoped that a portion of the funds raised will be set aside to launch an endowment fund, which will help to stabilise the school’s financial situation and assist with guaranteeing a high standard of education offered by the school.
